The following regular meeting times and focus have changed.
On Friday 12th November the Lodge will now tyle at 12.30 pm followed by a light lunch. Commencing at 7.00 pm there will be a Ladies Evening.
The meeting on 14th January 2011 will now be the Installation of D. Stuart Cummins as Assistant Provincial Grand Master of the Province of Yorkshire, West Riding. The Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master and Provincial Team will be in attendance to perform the Installation. It is planned that the Installation Ceremony will start at 6.30 pm.
At the 11th February meeting we will now celebrate W. Bro. Thurston’s 50 years as a Freemason.
What a shame!
What’s a Wardens Supper I hear you ask? Well, in our Lodge it is traditional at some point in the Masonic year for the Senior and Junior Wardens to buy all the brethren of the Lodge supper. Following a Lodge Practice on 27th October we had a most enjoyable supper of homemade steak pie and mushy peas. Don’t miss the next one!!!
The Worshipful Master ran an excellent Lodge Weekend Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th June at Lytham St. Annes, on the Fylde Coast, Lancashire. It was well supported by approximately 30 lodge members, guests and their ladies. We stayed at the Chadwick Hotel, which is popular with many West Yorkshire Lodges who use it as a regular venue for their annual weekends. It’s easy to see why, the food and accommodation were first class, and the staff were helpful and cautious, in fact nothing was too much trouble. This was our first visit but I feel sure it won’t be the last!
